Speech with tittle "ENVIRONMENT"

Good morning

The honorable adjudicators, to the teachers who I respect, and to my beloved friends. First, I would like to introduce my self to you. My name is Leska Naturalisa from class ten one. Thank you very much to give me the time so I can stand up here in front all of you to deliver a speech. On this happy morning, let us reflect and pray together for a moment, hopefully we are this morning still blessed with happiness by God the Almighty, Who has given us Mercy and Blessing, so we can meet together in this blessing Place.

Ladies and Gentlemen

Today in very Special moment, It be a great honour for me, to stand right here in front all of you to give a speech about environment with the title “Let’s Keep Our Environment”

Plants, people, animals and the environment are interdependence. Plants need a good environment for growing, animals need plants to eat, and human need everything to survive. Everything went as usual until the human who destroying it. No one of living things on the earth who can destroying it except the human.

Globalization may already be familiar to you . Globalization can accelerate the rate of economy anywhere. Technology developed over the years become a tool that can easily human works. Even to support it many new technologies are born for example a computer. Unfortunately, the speed of current technological improvement not followed by protecting awareness of surrounding environment. Massive oil drilling caused by the human vehicle is increasing along with increasing human populations from year to year. Finally, the waste produced from the vehicles, become one of the main factors polluted air around us. A lot of environmental damage that we often hear, for example, global warming ,acid rain, greenhouse effect, environmental pollution and so on.

One of the causes of environmental damage is deforestation, or known as the destruction of forest. The deforestation has caused many disasters in this world, including Indonesia. Floods, earthquakes and landslides are examples of killing disasters which make us realize that the existence of forest is very important.

In Addition, another effect of deforestation is related with the global warming or the increase of global surface temperature which is mainly caused by the greenhouse effects. The greenhouse effect caused by excessive carbon dioxide gas and causes global warming makes the earth hotter. The next phenomenon is acid rain, although it can prevent global warming but acid rain is more dangerous.

Ladies and gentlemen

Conscious or not, we live in this world depends on environment, we drink water from our environment, we breath air from our environment and we eat foods which planted form our environment too. Our environment has a great influence in our live. Good or bad our environment definitely will affect our live especially in our health.

Few years ago, when I was young, I saw many trees in my environment. But right now those trees are gone which causes the Carbon Monoxide can’t be change into Oxygen. Few years ago, when I was young, I can breathe deeper without any trouble of cough. But right now when I breathe for just one second, I suddenly cough. Then also, when I was young, every step that I took, I saw no trash in my sight. But right now I can find many trases wherever I go.

Ladies and gentlemen

I am sure those experiences have been ever experienced by all people here. So what should we do to recover our environment?  I am standing here is not just to tell you about the condition of our environment only, I also want to invite you to do some good things such as planting some trees, put trash in the right place, reduce, reuse and recycle. Only buy what you need don’t stock the cupboards with things you may or may not use. Reuse whatever you can, like containers and paper, and recycle what you cannot reuse. It really is as simple as that. Finally turning off unused sources of power such as televisions and heaters will help the environment, as well as save you money. If everybody stuck to these rules, we would be doing a great thing by protecting the earth. So please take into consideration what I have said and try to do your part. After all, it will be our next generation that will feel and get the effects of it.

I think that’s all my speech. I hope my brief speech about environment will be useful for us.  And also I would like to say sorry for all of my mistakes. Thank you very much for your kind attention.
